Since 1985 Barrier Systems first introduced the quick change moveable barrier (QMB), road authorities around the world have been taking advantage of this low cost solutions for adding lanes for rush hour traffic to reduce congestions, improve safety and increase traffic throughput. By taking a previously immeoveable object and making it moveable at up to 15 km/h, road authorities are able to increase the effective capacity of highway systems including bridges and work zones.

StandartBio and Barrier Systems joined their capabilities and presented two unique programs to the Metropolitan Munucipality of Istanbul to ease the traffic congestions for the Bosphrous bridge and the shore road connecting old town the the Ataturk airports. Projects are under evalution.
